Régine is one of our native French tutors from Mauritius Island. Holding a Master’s degree (Master 1) in Clinical Neuropsychology and Cognitive Psychopathology (adult and elderly) from Paul Valéry University – Montpellier III and a University Diploma in Ethics and Prevention in Support of the Elderly from Claude Bernard University – Lyon I, her background naturally led her to apply as a Psychologist Intern at RUTH Residence for the elderly.

Nevertheless, she was introduced to the primary school environment when she was offered the opportunity to teach French and coordinate the assessments in the special needs school that is paired with the residence (RUTH School for SENS). Teaching and working with children were totally new to her but it ended up being a revelation. She took advantage of her internships and years of teaching to deepen and enrich her knowledge in the field of childhood; and to complete her training in tools and techniques of assessment, clinical interviews and writing of reports. In addition, during the year spent in an English medium school, she has had the opportunity to familiarise herself with the English education and operating system.
